Keppel and Greenko partner to explore green ammonia production

Keppel Infrastructure and Greenko Group are set to jointly explore green ammonia and renewable energy opportunities as demand for low-carbon energy alternatives such as green ammonia and hydrogen continues to grow.

Under the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Singaporean and Indian companies will explore the feasibility of developing a production facility with capacity to produce at least 250,000 tonnes of green ammonia each year.

Additionally, Keppel and Greenko have said they will identify and evaluate solar and wind projects, up to an installed capacity of around 1.3GW to power hydrogen production from electrolysis to be used as a feedstock for the ammonia facility.
