Testing, inspection and certification (TIC) company Kiwa has joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance.
Announced yesterday (9th Nov), the company’s new membership follows its involvement in the cross-industry group Hydrogen Strategy Now.
“At Kiwa we cannot wait to contribute to this important challenge and to help accelerate the energy transition,” the company said in a statement.
“We do this by making our knowledge in the field of renewable power production and hydrogen available.”
The EU launched the Alliance for the ambitious deployment of hydrogen technologies by 2030, bringing together renewable and low-carbon hydrogen production, demand in industry, mobility and other sectors, and hydrogen transmission and distribution.
With the alliance, the EU wants to build its global leadership in this domain, to support the EU’s commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
