KOGAS to build ‘convergence’ hydrogen station that could charge up to 72 buses per day

South Korea’s state-run Korea Gas Corp (KOGAS) has unveiled plans to establish a convergence hydrogen charging station that could charge up to 72 buses per day, Korean media reports.

It would be installed as part of a joint venture, dubbed High Station, with five companies, including Hyundai Rotem and Samsung C&T, that would build six such stations in total.

Unlike charging stations that receive and supply gaseous hydrogen, the convergence hydrogen charging station would directly produce hydrogen on site using natural gas.
