Lhyfe to supply an electrolyser for the German H2goesRail project

Germany is set to gain hydrogen solutions for its railway network with Lhyfe supplying Deutsche Bahn with an electrolyser to fuel a hydrogen-powered train for the H2goesRail project.

Lhyfe has selected a Green Hydrogens Systems electrolyser, with an annual capacity of 30 tonnes, to support the implementation of hydrogen-powered trains to the German railway network.

This could be a significant development for the nation with the railway network seen as a key area to decarbonise to support the EU and Germany’s net zero emission targets for the future.

Through the H2goesRail project, 1,300 diesel trains will be replaced with hydrogen variants by the year 2050 ensuring there is a green future for German rail transport.
