Linde Europe North: A deep dive into Scandinavia’s hydrogen ecosystem

When people think of renewable energy and areas with an abundance of wind and hydro power, many point to Scandinavia. The region holds many of the correct prerequisites to generate cost-competitive renewable energy from a range of natural energy sources.

All of these create a diverse region with huge amounts of potential in creating another clean energy technology that could be vital in the race for zero-emissions – green hydrogen.

Although many innovative projects and companies are being developed in Scandinavia, H2 View sought the expertise and insight from Linde, one of the world’s leading industrial gases and engineering companies, Region Europe North to find out more about northern Europe’s hydrogen ecosystem.

Lauri Vartia, Senior Manager of Clean hydrogen at Linde Europe North, told H2 View that there is an increasingly popular ‘buzz’ around hydrogen in the Nordic countries and explained that Linde is well placed to support the region in reaching its hydrogen goals and ambitions.
