Loganair explores hydrogen-electric flights with Zeroavia


Scottish regional airline Loganair is looking at adopting hydrogen-electric aircraft propulsion systems to support zero-emission flights.

The airline has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with hydrogen-electric powertrain developer Zeroavia, which is looking to launch fully approved hydrogen aircraft which could fly on Loganair routes.

Zeroavia is aiming to have its 600kW hydrogen fuel cell system for 10 to 20-seat aircraft certified by the UK Civil Aviation Authority by 2026.
