Malaysia’s first hydrogen buses being trialled

Malaysia’s first hydrogen buses are currently being trialled in Sarawak’s capital city Kuching.

The three red and white coloured buses will be trialled for two weeks on certain routes in the city and will not carry passengers during this time.

Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) Chairman Abdul Hadi Abdul Kadir told the Borneo Post the trial run was proceeding smoothly and one of the hydrogen-powered buses will be available to offer a free ride service for the general public once the trial is completed.

The Road Transport Department and Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board have officially approved the service being commissioned.
