In just under a month, the International Conference on Maritime Hydrogen and Marine Energy will go ahead digitally, under the theme “Making Green Waves – Solutions for the Future”.
Originally planned to take place on 14th and 15th October in Florø, Norway, event organisers made the call back in May to take the event digital due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Even with its new layout, the conference will still be packed with presentations, workshops and interviews, with speakers who are working to develop a low carbon maritime sector.
Central topics for this years’ event are: global energy situation, hydrogen-powered vessels, energy systems for island communications and the way forward for maritime hydrogen and marine energy.
“We offer a varied programme with international and high-profile speakers. You can choose from 14 workshops that give you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and discuss relevant topics,” organiser Arena Ocean Hyway Cluster said in a statement.
“Each workshop includes speakers and moderators who give mini-lecturers and all participants have the opportunity to connect and communicate with other participants and speakers.”
“This year, you don’t even have to spend time and money on travel and accommodation. You can follow the conference from your office or your own living room!”
“There is an increased focus on maritime hydrogen and marine renewable energy worldwide. New projects are emerging that simultaneously connect the two sectors.”
