McPhy will construct an electrolyser gigafactory in Belfort, France – a location which the company believes is at the heart of the European hydrogen ecosystem.
Confirming the news today (May 20), the hydrogen production and distribution equipment specialist said it hopes the factory will play a major role in the transition to industrial scale electrolysis.
Through the development of the site, McPhy will create more than 500 jobs, including approximately 400 in France and 100 in Germany and Italy.
