Messer supplies hydrogen and refuelling tech for German hydrogen bus fleet


Messer has partnered with REVG Rhein-Erft-Verkehrsgesellschaft and H. Freund freight forwarding company to supply hydrogen and refuelling infrastructure for a fleet of 26 zero-emission buses.

Taking place in the German district of Rhein-Erft, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Messer will provide both the hydrogen fuel and refuelling technology at a dedicated hydrogen filling station located on REVG’s premises in Kerpen.

The new hydrogen-powered fuel cell hybrid buses, set to replace their diesel predecessors by the end of the month, offer a driving range of up to 350km per refuelling.
