MHI, EGAT sign agreement to cooperate on clean power generation in Thailand

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) have signed an agreement to study and exchange information relating to clean power generation, hydrogen, and carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS).

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), over the next three years, MHI and Mitsubishi Power will exchange experiences and information on the areas with EGAT.

It is hoped the partnership support efforts to meet Thailand’s goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030, ahead of meeting carbon neutrality by 2050, and Net Zero emissions by 2065.
