Mitsubishi Power awarded EPC contract to develop 600MW hydrogen power plant

A consortium including Mitsubishi Power has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to develop a 600MW hydrogen-ready power plant.

The combined cycle power plant (CCPP) will be constructed for Sembcorp Industries’ fully owned subsidiary Sembcorp Cogen, expected to be operational by 2026 and located at Sembcorp’s anticipated multi-utilities centre on Jurong Island, Singapore.

The plant will be capable of increasing hydrogen blending percentages with minimal existing infrastructure modifications.
