MMC UAV’s new Hydrone Griflion H, a hydrogen powered drone, has reached a record-breaking 15-hour flight time.
During the flight the MMC showcased a vertical take-off and landing, whilst the hydrogen fuel cell battery showed stability and longevity.
The flight time of 15 hours was achieved without payload, but the drone has to capability to complete a 10-hour flight with a 3kg payload, compared to most drones which have a maximum flight time of two hours.
In comparison to the company’s previous HyDrone 1800, the new Griflion H features upgrades in hydrogen fuel cell and drone design and comes with an established hydrogen fuel cell system which breaks its own flight time record.
Other features of the drone include zero emission, low noise and high coverage.
