Motor Oil opens Greece’s first hydrogen refuelling station


Motor Oil Hellas has inaugurated the first green hydrogen refuelling station in Greece, which will be operated by its subsidiary Avin Oil.

The Greek station is reportedly the first in Europe to be co-financed (50%) by the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) – Transport programme, representing a €3m ($3.4m) investment.

Located in Agioi Theodoroi, the facility is currently using green hydrogen supplied from Austria. Coral Gas handled the supply, storage and transportation.
