Nel receives $3m PEM electrolyser order for SAF plant in US

Nel Hydrogen US has revealed today (September 13) it has received a $3m purchase order for a containerised PEM electrolyser from LanzaJet, to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the US.

The electrolyser is set to be installed at LanzaJet’s “alcohol-to-jet” SAF production plant, in Georgia, US, which is said to be the first commercial plant of its kind in the world.

H2 View understands, once at production capacity, the plant will be able to produce up to 10 million gallons of SAF and renewable diesel from sustainable ethanol per year.
