Nel set to supply Woodside Energy with electrolysers for Oklahoma, US hydrogen project

Nel has revealed it has entered into a contract for the delivery of alkaline electrolyser equipment to the Australian-based Woodside Energy for its proposed hydrogen project in Oklahoma, US.

Valued at NOK 600m (€57.9m), the contract will supply equipment for the first phase of Woodside’s H2OK project which looks to produce liquid hydrogen to hydrogen fuel cell powered commercial and heavy-duty transport vehicles.

Set to be built in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the H2OK project is planned to initially boast 290MW of electrolyser capacity, with plans to be expanded up to 550MW, producing 180 tonnes of hydrogen per day.
