Neoenergia breaks ground on the first of two Brazilian hydrogen plants


Neoenergia has begun constructing the first of two hydrogen power plants in Brazil, ahead of its planned opening in October.

Located in the Federal District of Taguatinga, near the capital city of Brasilia, the two plants represent an investment of over R$30m ($5.4m).

The unit will be powered by a 150kW photovoltaic plant and is expected to operate as a supply point for light and heavy-duty hydrogen-powered vehicles, featuring a dedicated refuelling pump.
