New hydrogen refuelling station ‘gold standard for speed’

It was revealed today (June 29) an Austrian food retailer has started up Europe’s ‘most powerful’ hydrogen refuelling station designed and built by Linde Engineering in Völs, Austria.

The new MPREIS station is set to supply its own fleet of fuel cell trucks with green hydrogen produced on site with capacity to refuel four trucks per hour. Linde has said 40 kilogrammes of green hydrogen, approximately equal to 400 litres of diesel, can delivered in 10 minutes.

In March this year (2022), it was revealed a 3.2MW electrolyser would be supplied to MPREIS by Sunfire, to aid the decarbonisation of the company’s distribution and daily operations.
