New partnership formed to support Chinese fuel cell market

Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation (Toshiba ESS) has entered into a partnership agreement with More Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd (MOH) to develop fuel cell systems in China.

The collaboration marks the first hydrogen partnership Toshiba ESS has entered in China and will see the company support MOH’s new fuel cell system development actitivies.

“I am honoured to be able to support hydrogen society in China, thanks to this partnership with MOH,” said Yoshihisa Sanagi, General Manager of the Hydrogen Energy Business Division at Toshiba ESS.

The partnership supports “China’s 13th Five-Year Plan” which was set in 2016 and sets the long-term goal to increase the country’s share of non-fossil fuel energy among total primary energy consumption to 20% to accelerate Chinas shift towards decarbonisation.
