New York commits an additional $30m to Drive Clean Rebate Program

New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced an additional $30m to encourage more consumers to lease or purchase an all-electric car or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, including those powered by hydrogen.

Awarded through the New York State’s Drive Clean Rebate programme, the funding will enhance vehicle affordability and help more New York residents cut their carbon footprint whilst driving.

Such action will build on significant progress to-date, with more than 37,000 electric rebates, totalling more than $54m, provided under the Drive Clean Rebate program, which is administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
