Nikola Corporation has ordered 85MW alkaline electrolysers from Nel Hydrogen to support five of the world’s first eight tonnes per day hydrogen fuelling stations.
In a deal valued in excess of $30m, the electrolysers will primarily be delivered from the new electrolyser mega-factory currently under development in Norway. Together, these electrolysers may produce over 40,000kgs of hydrogen each day.
This purchase order will support Nikola’s five initial stations with eight tonnes per day hydrogen production capacity.
