Non-binding offtake deal sets stage for hydrogen fuel cell peaker plant in Western Australia


Australian energy firm Warradarge Energy could supply up to 300 tonnes of hydrogen per year to a planned hydrogen fuel cell peaker plant in Western Australia.

Under a non-binding offtake and collaboration agreement, the company could supply hydrogen from its upcoming production facility to an adjacent peaker plant being developed by Hydrogéne de France’s (HDF Energy) Australian subsidiary.

Warradarge Energy is developing a green hydrogen production plant near Eneabba, with Stage 1 targeting up to 23,700 tonnes of annual output powered by nearby wind generation. Stage 2 would see it scaled to 500MW of production capacity.
