OCI to double US green methanol production to 400,000 tonnes per year

OCI Global on Wednesday (September 13) announced it would double its US green methanol production capacity to around 400,000 tonnes per year, while adding green hydrogen-based e-methanol to its line-up for the first time.

Revealing plans to scale capacity at its facility in Beaumont, Texas, by 200,000 tonnes per year, OCI projects growth in demand for green methanol to more than six million tonnes by 2028.
