Bavaria-based Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH earlier this week revealed a new order from E-Trucks Europe for a further five fuel cell systems to equip refuse collection trucks.
The company is required to supply a total of 14 fuel cell systems for the equipment of refuse collection vehicles for the EU funded REVIVE (Refuse Vehicle Innovation and Validation in Europe) project, which targets the construction and commissioning of 15 commercial vehicles for refuse collection in Europe.
Utilisation of the latest set of vehicles is envisaged in eight regions or municipalities across the Netherlands, Belgium and the South Tyrol region of Italy, and is the latest announcement to emerge from an increasingly trending topic in commercial mobility services.
