Renewable Hydrogen Alliance (RHA) is partnering with the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure on the first action plan to grow the Pacific Northwest into a renewable hydrogen powerhouse.
Renewable hydrogen, and the fuels derived from it, have a critically important role to play in the world’s transition to carbon-free, climate-friendly energy systems.
According to RHA, the Pacific Northwest is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the new opportunities that these fuels present, with its abundances of renewable energy and frequent surpluses of renewable electricity that can be used to produce renewable hydrogen, in ways that can actually help lower power prices.
The pivotal project will launch the first concerted, strategic effort to galvanise key partners and distil key intelligence to build a blueprint for policy, project, research and awareness-building actions to scale up renewable hydrogen in the region.
