Pioneering hydrogen fuel cell plant to be developed in Blanquefort, France

Hydrogen de France is set to establish a new hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing plant in Blanquefort, France to spearhead zero-emission development in the region.

It was announced on Thursday (8th April) that Bordeaux Métropole, the Nouvelle-Aquitane Region and City of Blanquefort had collectively decided to retain and support the project to bring a new hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing plant to the area.

It is believed that the manufacturing plant will feature a pioneering battery assembly line in Europe with hopes to have the plant in service by the end of 2023.

With the new plant to be developed on a recently closed Ford site, it is expected that this development could bring hydrogen specialists to the region, creating new jobs and showcasing the areas potential in the hydrogen sector.
