Plastic Omnium inks hydrogen vessel deal with Hyundai

In a move that will support zero-emission mobility, Plastic Omnium has said it will supply Hyundai Motor Company with thousands of hydrogen vessels annually for the newly unveiled STARIA vehicle.

Inking an agreement on Monday (September 6), Plastic Omnium said it will supply the vehicle manufacturer with more than 30,000 of the units annually from 2023.

For this, type IV 700- bar high-pressure vessels will be developed by Plastic Omnium by teams in Europe and China, and will be produced in Korea at the company’s Gyeong-Ju plant.
