Plug Power, Acciona to develop the Iberian Peninsula’s hydrogen value chain with new joint venture

A new joint venture has been launched today (Nov 30) by Plug Power and ACCIONA Energía that is aiming to develop, operate and maintain green hydrogen projects across the Iberian Peninsula.

AccionaPlug is the name of the newly established company and it will aim to develop the hydrogen value chain and ecosystem across Spain and Portugal with storage, transportation and delivery services all key aspects for the company.

As well as this, the company will target hydrogen production facilities co-located directly with industrial customers and stand-alone plants that produce hydrogen for regional distribution with the first plants expected to be online in 2023.
