Polenergia’s H2Silesia project secures pre-qualification for €142.7m in state aid


Polenergia’s 105MW green hydrogen production project in Upper Silesia has been pre-qualified for €142.7m ($163.6m) in state aid by the Polish national development bank BGK.

The H2Silesia project is expected to produce approximately 13,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year. The hydrogen will be used to decarbonise heavy industry and transport.

BGK recommended that the project receive the maximum level of public assistance available from the European Commission under the Hy2Infra programme, as part of a call for hydrogen technology projects.
