Port of Valencia to trial hydrogen

A new hydrogen station will be operational at the Port of Valencia early next year.

The station will be developed by Centro Nacional del Hidrógeno (CNH2), as part of the European project H2PORTS, led by Fundación Valenciaport.

Running alongside two other pilot operations that will be tested during the project, the station will provide fuel for a fuel cell-powered cargo-handling vehicle at MSC Terminal Valencia and a fuel cell-powered terminal tractor 4×4 at Valencia Terminal Europa.

As both of the fuel cell vehicles are located at different terminals of the port, the hydrogen refuelling station will be developed with a flexible and mobile solution.
