PowerCell receives follow-on order from automotive manufacturer

PowerCell Sweden AB has received a follow-on order from a global automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for its S3 fuel cell stacks valued at approximately SEK 2.6m (€243,000).

The automotive OEM previously placed orders for PowerCell’s S3 fuel cell stack as well as its MS-100 fuel cells systems for tests and evaluations.

“The climate crisis and increasingly stricture COemissions regulations presents the automotive industry with unavoidable transformation,” said Per Wassén, PowerCell’s CEO.

“This puts the automotive OEMs under great pressure to electrify their drivetrains, and fuel cells running on hydrogen offer a number of advantages compared to batteries as they provide an electric drive without limited rang time-consuming change.”
