PyroGenesis’ new technology produces cheaper hydrogen from methane than water electrolysis

PyroGenesis has launched a new zero-emission hydrogen production technology which converts methane to hydrogen to create ZCE hydrogen at cheaper rates than water electrolysis.

With this new innovative technology, the entire hydrogen economy could receive a substantial boost with a new method to produce hydrogen from an already widely used gas.

The company also said that this method is able to compete with conventional technologies to produce eco-friendly hydrogen whilst also being more cost-competitive in comparison to other methods of hydrogen production.

In fact, the production technology boasts a theoretical electricity cost three times lower than that of water electrolysis whilst also producing the same amount of hydrogen, PyroGenesis has said.
