The next few years will be a critical period of learning for clean hydrogen as smaller-scale projects begin to enter operations.
That was the message from MorGen Energy Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Sam French, who told H2 View’s large-scale project webinar that understanding how these projects operate in the real world will be key to informing firm policy and revenue support.
“The next few years are about getting projects on the ground – as an industry, we will learn from them, and get to an understanding of what’s needed to drive the really large projects, which is the way to drive down costs,” he said.
“Once we have those learnings, the critical things will be policy certainty and revenue support.”
