REFIRE’s new hydrogen fuel cell makes European debut at IAA Mobility 2021

Shanghai-based REFIRE is showcasing its fuel cell and hydrogen prowess at IAA Mobility 2021, in Munich, with its new Prisma XII+ hydrogen fuel cell making its European debut.

Presented at the event, REFIRE’s new Prisma XII+ is aiming to provide heavy-duty trucks with greater power and efficiency through a hydrogen fuel cell.

It is hoped that, with the presentation at a large European event, European demand could soar with companies able to access a new and greatly advanced hydrogen fuel cell for heavy-duty applications.

One of the main features of the Prisma XII+ is that it is built to operate for at least 30,000 hours with less than a 10% degradation in performance putting it on par with heavy-duty internal combustion engines.

This year, a Mercedes-Benz Citaro bus was equipped with a REFIRE Prisma fuel cell system which made its operational debut at the Lower Oder Valley National Park in Germany to provide a zero-emission passenger service throughout the ecologically protected zone.
