Rheinmetall signs preliminary deal to deliver 100 hydrogen storage containers

German technology company Rheinmetall has inked an initial agreement to deliver 100 multiple-element gas containers (MEGCs) used to store and transport large amounts of hydrogen.

Under a letter of intent, a proposed framework contract worth tens of millions of euros has been signed with an unnamed European manufacturer and supplier of green hydrogen.

The preliminary deal represents Rheinmetall’s first major order for its new hydrogen storage technology, with the first MEGC solution scheduled to be delivered next year.
