Scottish start-up powers UK’s first Extreme-e rally

When the UK’s first electric SUV race took place last weekend in Dorset, UK, it was powered by Scottish hydrogen supplied from clean power start-up PlusZero.

Supported by technical energy partner Logan Energy, the race saw PlusZero provide the green hydrogen to fuel Jurassic X Prix operators Extreme E’s fuel cell charging system for the rally’s electric SUVs.

Having only been launched earlier this year, PlusZero’s involvement in the race marks a significant achievement – and perhaps it’s a sign of what’s to come!

David Amos, founder and Managing Director of Plus Zero, said, “I am delighted that PlusZero has been able to pioneer Scottish green hydrogen at this globally significant sporting event, and hugely grateful to Extreme E and our hydrogen technology specialists Logan Energy for their determination to showcase the true potential of green hydrogen in this UK-first event.
