SFC Energy receives fuel cell order for smart traffic project in Japan

SFC Energy has received a large-scale EFOY fuel cell order from Toyota Tsusho Corporation, for a smart traffic project in Japan.

In a statement released yesterday (21st Jan), SFC Energy said that deployment of its fuel cells in traffic control systems improves both workplace safety. The fuel cells are also more environmentally friendly than other alternative power sources.

The innovations further hold great advantages when it comes to serving. They don’t require the need for laborious and dangerous replacement of heavy batteries during flowing traffic.

Commenting on the news, Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy, said, “If we want to rethink mobility, the discussion must not be limited only to drive systems. Mobility has many aspects.”
