Siemens Energy to supply electrolysers for HIF Global’s Texan eFuels facility

eFuels company HIF Global has selected Siemens Energy to supply electrolysers to its new facility in Texas, US, to support the production of around 300,000 tonnes green hydrogen per year.

H2 View understands, a new agreement between the companies will allow Siemens to expand it electrolyser manufacturing capacity beyond its previously announced plans, to support HIF’s Texan plans, aggregating an expected capacity of approximately 1.8GW.

HIF and Siemens are currently engaged in front-end engineering and design (FEED) for 1.8GW of Silyzer 300 PEM electrolysers to produce green hydrogen for the HIF Matagorda eFuels Facility, which is expected to the ‘first’ world-scale eFuels facility, which could see construction kick off in the early part of 2024.
