Spain begins consultation phase for hydrogen network in Extremadura

The Public Participation Plan (PPCP) for the Spanish hydrogen backbone network in Extremadura has officially been launched, supported by the regional government and infrastructure operator Enagás.

María Guardiola, President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, and Enagás CEO Arturo Gonzalo met this week to launch the initiative, which will contribute to the sustainable economic development of Extremadura and encompass 51 municipalities, 29 in Badajoz and 22 in Cáceres.

The PPCP will gather input from local communities, over 50 public administrations, and 380 organisations across Spain over 18 months, culminating in a final report on the consultation process.
