Swedish start-up opens lab for lightweight, conformable hydrogen storage tech
Swedish start-up NITIU has opened a new laser lab to accelerate the development of its lightweight, conformable steel hydrogen storage technology and support work with industrial partners.
The new lab in Lövbacken features two laser welding stations to allow the firm to develop its joining techniques, refine processes, and collaborate with customers.
It will also support “rapid” prototyping and process development tailored to specific industries, as it looks to commercialise its patented steel isotropic lightweight structure (ILS) hydrogen storage.
