Thanks for taking five with H2 View. In January, Technical Fibre Products (TFP) announced it had acquired PV3 Technologies and created a new subsidiary TFP Hydrogen Products. Why don’t you start by telling us about this acquisition and what it means for the hydrogen market?
Technical Fibre Products Ltd have been involved in the hydrogen supply chain for around 30 years when we first manufactured carbon fibre non-woven materials for use in the gas diffusion layer of Fuel Cells. Recently we have seen a large increase in the take up of materials for both the production of green hydrogen and the use of fuel cells globally. TFP had been looking to expand our portfolio of products over the past few years and PV3 Technologies came to our attention as an innovative company at the forefront of their business whilst also working in the same way as TFP, being customer focussed and technology led. The internal skill base and knowledge at TFP Hydrogen is key and we ensured all staff were retained as part of the acquisition and are looking forward to expanding the workforce in this area of the business to fully support the planned growth.
As a combined company we can now offer our materials into the whole supply chain of green hydrogen production and use, through Wind Turbines, to electrolysers and fuel cells.
