UAE, Japan deal aiming to reduce hydrogen production costs

The UAE and Japan have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly explore opportunities in the field of hydrogen development.

Under the deal, the UAE is expected to intensify its hydrogen investment opportunities in addition to promote work on developing technologies that help reduce costs for both blue and green hydrogen production.

This is part of the UAE’s plan to reduce its carbon dioxide output by 70% in addition to raising individual and institutional consumption efficiency by 2050.
