UAE’s ADNOC to sell its first blue ammonia produced from hydrogen to Japan

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to sell its first blue ammonia produced from hydrogen to Japan’s Itochu that will unlock new opportunities for the low carbon fuel in fertiliser production.

Cargos of blue ammonia, produced by Fertiglobe in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, are the first to be sold from the UAE its Japanese customer, leveraging ADNOC and Fertiglobe’s global reach and ammonia production capabilities.
