A UK Government office for hydrogen would be a statement of intent for industry, TGIRR report suggests

The UK Taskforce on Innovation, Growth and Regulatory Reform (TIGRR) has suggested that creating a governmental office for hydrogen could help drive the accelerate the hydrogen market in the UK.

In the newly released report, the TIGRR makes recommendations that the organisation believes the government should consider in relation to hydrogen.

The creation of a new regulatory framework for hydrogen, via a new office for hydrogen within the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), could encourage investment and innovation within this sector.
