Variohm EuroSensor launches new sensor for hydrogen applications

Variohm EuroSensor has launched its new ETP21H2 temperature sensor for pressurised hydrogen applications.

With a measurement range of -40 to 100 °C and a static operating pressure up to 160 bar (higher pressures on request), the ETP21H2 sensor features a 316L stainless steel housing for extreme resistance to hydrogen embrittlement and permeation.

The sensor also has an industry standard M10 x 1 process connection and flexibility in a choice of electrical supply and output levels of 10…32 VDC for 4…20 mA, or 5 VDC for ratiometric 0.5…4.5 V output.

In a statement, Variohm EuroSensor, said, “The new sensor includes design and manufacturing enhancements specifically targeting hydrogen powered fuel cell applications on mobile vehicles and where other pressurised, and aggressive gas or liquid media processes are controlled.”
