Veri Energy taps industry to de-risk hydrogen-based e-fuel plant in Shetland


UK-based Veri Energy is working with various technology suppliers to evaluate and de-risk production systems for its planned green hydrogen-based e-fuel project in Shetland.

The EnQuest subsidiary is engaging with electrolyser firms ITM Power and Topsoe, methanol synthesis providers BSE Methanol and FlexMethanol, as well as ABB for system control design and Veolia for water system analysis.

The initiative, supported by the Net Zero Technology Centre’s Energy Hub project, will initially focus on Veri’s planned 50MW project at the Sullom Voe Terminal (SVT) in Shetland.
