ITM Power will supply a 5MW containerised electrolyser to a hydrogen mobility project in Germany aimed at fuelling emission-free buses.
The electrolyser maker inked a contract to supply Dortmund-based electricity and gas system operator Westnetz with its Neptune V unit.
Westnetz will integrate the 5MW electrolyser for an unnamed public transport operator customer and a German utility subsidiary in a project hoped to support EU clean vehicle goals and have a clean hydrogen bus fleet by 2030.
