Wintershall Dea, VNG to work together in hydrogen; collaborating on turquoise hydrogen production project

Wintershall Dea and VNG will collaborate closely in the field of hydrogen in the future with a plan to build a facility to produce turquoise hydrogen seen as a first step.

Both companies recently invested in HiiROC, a plant that will use a thermal methane pyrolysis process to produce 400kg of hydrogen per day once operational in 2023 – a first of its kind in Germany.
