Hydrogen-focused powertrain developer ZeroAvia is deploying a Toyota Mirai fuel cell car at its Cranfield base to help with ground operations.
The company today said that the new vehicle will form an important part of its ground-breaking hydrogen airport refuelling system.
“We are delighted to have a Toyota Mirai on our fleet. With our focus on making hydrogen powered flight a reality, it makes perfect sense to add a zero emission car to our ground fleet,” said Sergey Kiselev, Head of Europe, ZeroAvia.
“We’ll be using it for transport around the Cranfield and other UK locations.”
The Toyota Mirai delivery, supported by the OLEV hydrogen for transport scheme, shows a growth in the deployment of the zero emission vehicles in a variety of sectors.
