Air Products: Enabling a cleaner future through hydrogen

The hydrogen economy is quickly evolving and Pennsylvania-headquartered Air Products is at the forefront of major initiatives serving a broad range of industries. As a gas, hydrogen is valued for its reactive and reducing properties. Many industries such as electronics, foods, glass, chemicals, space launch, metals and oil refining can benefit from its unique properties to improve product quality, optimise performance and reduce costs.

With more than 80 plants and over 700 miles of pipeline, Air Products is the world’s largest producer of outsourced hydrogen to oil refineries, which use hydrogen to get the most out of every barrel of oil to make cleaner burning transportation fuels. Air Products is also using its hydrogen experience to advance hydrogen fuel cell technology, and has numerous other green hydrogen R&D efforts underway, including decarbonisation for metals manufacturing.
